Welcome to the fire department webpage. The members of Tilton-Northfield Fire & EMS take great pride in serving our community, and we sincerely appreciate the support we receive daily from so many residents and businesspeople throughout District.
TNFD is a full-service combination department using an all-hazards approach to emergency response. We respond to a wide variety of incidents, including emergency medical events, structure fires, vehicle accidents, and technical rescue incidents such as swift water rescues.
We are committed to training every day to meet the evolving set of missions to which the modern fire service is expected to respond. We also continually work with our regional partners to leverage resources to help us deliver the desired services. We constantly look to improve our procedures to provide the most efficient and effective service in the safest manner possible to the residents and visitors of the District.
TNFD is also responsible for inspectional, code enforcement, and public education services within the District. Our Fire Prevention Division works diligently to ensure the safety of a wide variety of occupancies. From reviewing plans, issuing permits, and conducting inspections, we maintain vigilance for the peace of mind of everyone who works, visits, or lives in the District.
